Dear and Esteemed Colleagues, we invite you to participate in the fifth (5th) Covenant-International Conference on African Development Issues (C-ICADI) 2020 scheduled to come up between September 24–25, 2020. The C-ICADI series is organized bi-annually to gather all experts and key players in discussing developmental issues that we face in Africa with the view to solving those issues and to support Africa’s development. The Programme Sub-committee invites papers from researchers and practitioners addressing African Development issues as it pertains to addressing the Challenge of Leadership in the African Continent in securing the future of Africa for sustainable development.
The ICADI series is a unique platform established by Covenant University for engaging Academics, Industry Technocrats, and Policy makers in productive discourse towards value enhancement and transformational development of the African Nation. The fifth (5th) in the series of ICADI, targets at furthering the conversations on the earlier resolutions reached on the discourse on African Development Issues, thereby building success of the previous four (4) conferences, as we further explore a crucial platform of solution to innovation in leadership as it affects the African Continent as a whole.
As a result, the fifth (5) C-ICADI is considered to cover a wide range of topics that are germane to African Leadership that cut across vis-à-vis the humanities, social sciences, sciences and engineering, even as we look towards meeting the pace with other continents of the world. Papers are invited on the topics outlined and others falling within the scope of the main theme and sub-themes. Academic contributions such as research articles, review papers, concept papers, vision/idea papers, work in progress with partial research results, poster presentations as well as Ph.D pecha kucha are welcomed. Papers from the industry presenting experience reports, company testimonials and reports of best practices’ implementation that have yielded positive results are also invited for presentation under a special Industry Track. Abstracts of no more than 300 words.
Special plenary sessions for thematic discourse, general discussion, position papers, case studies and evolving thoughts for Politicians, Persons in Business and other Stakeholders from a wide array of sectors including Government, Media and Industry, among others will be hosted as the usual practice at ICADI conferences. This fifth (5th) C-ICADI will feature special Keynote and Lead Paper presentations by acclaimed leaders, renowned Academics and Industry experts. In addition, there shall be dedicated fora and syndicate sessions that will provide opportunity for all participants to contribute to specific topics on sustainable solution development and diverse issues of dialogue, emanating from the Conference theme and other core areas flagged. All accepted and presented papers at the conference will be included in the conference proceedings. Furthermore, the accepted papers will be submitted for indexing in open-access academic databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar.
